Job Description:

The Vice President - Digital leads the digital strategy and implementation for our San Francisco office and West Coast client base. This role resides with the Integrated Services team consisting of Account Planning, Social & Digital Strategies, Content, and Creative disciplines. The role will partner and work in conjunction with the SVP of Integrated Services, agency teams, and also directly with external West Coast clients to manage initiatives and budgets, and drive new efforts to grow the agency's digital and integrated marketing business.


  • Lead the development and implementation of digital marketing strategies across several of the agency’s top NA technology and healthcare accounts.
  • Provide strategic counsel for clients and executives within the digital landscape including social media, paid media, content marketing, measurement, and SEO.
  • Partners with the SVP of Integrated Services to develop and manage cross-platform/cross-channel digital initiatives responsible for the overall success of our clients’ marketing, communications and business goals.
  • Manage a subset of the Integrated Services P&L to help drive business planning, budgeting and forecasting in conjunction with NA sector teams while remaining actively involved in aspects of account profitability, health, client service, billing and team success.
  • Collaborate and work closely with our Insight & Analytics team to develop comprehensive measurement and tracking plans to measure performance in order to identify key audience and brand trends.
  • Works to drive new business efforts in partnership with Business Development, Account, Global and Integrated Services leads in order to grow the agency’s digital and integrated marketing and communications business.
  • Focus on attraction, development and retention of staff; help lead educational and skills-based training efforts across the assigned office and NA account teams



  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communications, Digital Technologies discipline or similar applicable field is required; Master’s degree is highly preferred.
  • 8-10+ years of marketing and communications experience required with applicable project/program management experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in leading and management of a diverse team
  • Proven success in establishing relationships, being a high bandwidth communicator, with a track record of excellent collaboration


  • A creative thinker with a proven track record of using data, trends and insights to frame and solve business challenges in new ways
  • A true digital native – understands the digital landscape, trends and consumer behavior.
  • Bias towards strategy frameworks and solutions that are highly actionable.
  • Expert with Microsoft Office Suite and business intelligence tools including Tableau or Power BI.
  • Proven written and verbal presentation skills and ability to translate complex data into a compelling story.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities in a time-sensitive environment.
  • High degree of analytical ability, intellectual curiosity, initiative, sound judgment, and business knowledge.
  • Superior interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate actively and work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies, tools and platforms.
  • Knowledgeable about integrated communications industry and agency landscape.
